Withdrawals/Fees

Digital Wallet gifts (Apple Pay/Google Pay) will be deposited as the net amount in your bank account, meaning that fees are withdrawn before these funds are deposited. To see a line-by-line breakdown of the fees incurred, go to the Reconciliation table in your Overflow Dashboard. Any deposit marked Apple Pay, Google Pay, or both, will have fees recorded per contribution in the payouts table.

For credit/debit/ACH gifts that processed through Fiserv, you will receive the gross deposit, so the full value of the donation. Within the first 10 days of the following month, Fiserv will withdraw the fees incurred in one lump sum. This withdrawal will appear as FISERV MONTHLY FEE + [your MID]. If you need to see a breakdown of fees on a per contribution basis, you can login to your CardPointe Portal.

Deposits

It is important to note first and foremost that batch deposit schedules differ depending on the deposit type of donation. These types are:

  • ACH Deposit Batch
  • Credit/Debit Card Deposit Batch
  • Apple Pay/Google Pay

We'll cover each type in more depth below.

ACH Deposit Batch

Automated Clearing House (ACH) batches may contain transactions spanning multiple days. Typically, ACH deposits will group together donations made within a period of 3 to 5 business days and deposit that entire group of donations at once.  It is possible that this timeline varies if the deposit were scheduled to happen on a weekend or public holiday. ACH returns and chargebacks are not included.

It's important to keep in mind that some financial institutions may take 1 to 2 business days to deposit an ACH batch into your account after receiving it from the payment processor. We advise you to reach out to your bank representative to find out what their timeline is once they receive a requested bank transfer from the processor.

ACH deposits will appear as FISERV PMNT SVCS PAYOUT in your bank account.

Credit/Debit Card Deposit Batch

Credit/Debit Card batches may contain transactions spanning multiple days but, in most cases, donations that arrived within a 24-hour period will be grouped together for deposit. This may vary depending on the financial institution that manages your deposit account. Chargebacks are not included.

CardConnect will deposit the full value of the gift and withdraw fees after the close of the previous month. This withdrawal will appear as FISERV MONTHLY FEE + [your MID].

Credit/Debit deposits will appear as MERCHANT BANKCD DEPOSIT in your bank account.

Apple Pay/Google Pay Deposit Batch

Apple Pay/Google Pay batches are similar to credit/debit and may contain transactions spanning multiple days but, in most cases, donations that arrived within a 24-hour period will be grouped together for deposit.

Stripe is the platform we use for Apple Pay and Google Pay. Deposits from Stripe will appear at Overflow Deposit but can be customized. Fees are withdrawn at the time of deposit, so you will receive the gift value minus fees.
